Why choose our soy wax for poured candles? 

Our soy wax is ideal for making candles poured into containers. You can use it with different containers (pots, glass containers, aluminum, ceramic, clay, porcelain, etc.).

Our wax is natural, non-GMO and vegan

Our soy wax comes from soybeans GMO free and original European. Our wax East 100% plant-based, natural And not tested on animals. It is produced from pure soybean oil without pesticides neither herbicides. It is easy to use

Our economical wax burns longer

Soy wax is very often appreciated for its slow and steady combustion. Thanks to this wax based on soy, your candles will last 30 to 40% longer than paraffin-based candles. Soy wax is also ideal for making your candles poured into containers as well as for refilling your old candles.

Healthy, odorless and non-toxic combustion

Soy wax is renowned for its great ability to retain scents and improve their dissemination. This soy wax is designed to burn clean, without releasing odors or toxins. Thus, your candle cast in soy wax will provide a healthy and pleasant burning experience, without black soot or chemical residues.

How to use soy wax for container candles? 

  1. Prepare the material : wick, container, soy wax, perfume, coloring (optional), wick centralizer, tablet, thermometer, water bath.
  2. Melt the wax : heat the wax in a bain-marie until approximately 60°C.
  3. Add the perfume (optional): approximately 65°C, add perfume/fragrance oil and mix well.
  4. Add the coloring (optional)
  5. Fix the wick : stick the wick to the bottom of the container using a pellet. You can use a wick centerer to prevent your wick from coming loose during pouring.
  6. Pour the wax : Nous vous conseillons de couler votre bougie à environ 60°. Verser la cire fondue dans le récipient, autour de la mèche.
  7. Leave to cool : allow the candle to cool and harden for 24 hours.
  8. Cut the wick : adjust the length of the wick before use (approximately 0.5 cm).

What to add to soy wax for cast candles?

Wicks for better burning

Our TCR bits are perfectly suited to poured candles and are suitable for all kinds of vegetable waxes, including soy wax. These wicks are in natural cotton and without no chemical treatment. At SOJ, the more wax you buy, the more wicks you receive as a gift!

Perfumes to captivate

Whether you have a penchant for scents with subtle floral notes, soft and sweet aromas, rich woody accents or fresh and tangy tones, soy wax is the ideal partner. Soy wax ensures a slow, steady release of scent over the entire burning time of the candle. We recommend adding scents to cooled soy wax at approximately 55-60°C in order to preserve the integrity of the perfume. Dyes to embellish

Add color to your soy wax candles. At Soj we offer a range of dyes which includes a vast palette of colors, from pastels to more intense shades. To use our dyes with soy wax, simply add them to the melted wax and mix until the color is evenly distributed. The amount of dye needed varies depending on the intensity of color you want to give your poured candle.
